Perpete Evrard (Eurard), c. 1714. A very early watercolour on vellum portrait of a bewigged gentleman. Set in a Silver frame. The reverse, inscribed, “P/-----d/1714”.
Perpete Evrard is a rare miniature artist whose work does not appear on the market very often. He was worn in Dinant (Belgium) on the 23rd of October 1662. He was a portrait painter to both the royal courts of Madrid and Vienna. Evrard died in the Hague in 1727.

Kate Salaman, c. 1840. A watercolour on ivory portrait of a young man with auburn hair and hazel eyes, wearing spectacles. He is dressed in a white shirt, dark cravat, and dark coat. Ornate hair reverse. Gilt brass and blue enamel frame. Oval, 5 cms. X 4 cms. (2 inches x 1 ½ inches). Miss Kate Salaman flourished between 1834 – 1856. The officer, depicted in 1/2 pose, is depicted wear a blue coatee with red facings, silver epaulettes and aiguillete, white shoulder belt with silver belt plate, chemise and black stock.
