Watercolour on ivory portrait of a naval officer wearing a blue coatee with white standing collar, gold epaulette and trim, waist belt with embossed insignia, and two medals pinned to his left breast, a gilt-handled sword held in the crook of his left arm. Black wood frame. Rectangular, 115 mm high (4 ½ inches). Excellent condition.

She wears a blue, off the shoulder gown with ivory shawl tied with a pink bow at the bodice. Embossed gilt brass frame. Oval, 5 ½ cms. X 4 ½ cms. (2 ½ inches X 2 inches). Excellent condition.

The Artist Buxton, (English), c. 1795. The watercolour portrait depicts a little boy with fair curling hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue suit with large white frilled collars, in his left hand, a top hat, beyond a landscape. Verre eglomise slip within turned and ebonized frame. Signed twice on the frame to the reverse, “Buxton Pinxt.” Oval, 7 cms. X 5 cms. (2 ½ inches X 2 inches). Miniature very good condition. Frame good condition.

The watercolour on ivory miniature depicts the officer in a bright red coatee with green facings, an epaulette, white shoulder belt, and brass belt plate. Brass frame, the reverse with woven hair back behind gold initials, "R * C". Oval, 6 1/2 cms. X 5 cms. (3 inches X 2 1/4 inches). Good condition.
