French School, c. 1810. Portrait of a young man by the artist signing "Chanier". The water color on ivory portrait depicts the young man with his own hair powdered, and brown eyes, wearing a dark jacket with white shirt with stock. Embossed brass frame. Oval, 7 cms. X 5 cms. (2 3/4 inches X 2 1/4 inches). Portrait very good condition. Frame good condition.

English School, c. 1830, portrait miniature painted on porcelain. The oval head-and-shoulders portrait of the young gentleman depicts him wearing a black coat, violet waistcoat, and black cravat. Set in a gilt-metal locket, the lid with raised monogram "WED". Locket 6 cms. X 4 1/2 cms. (2 1/2 inches X 1 3/4 inches) Portrait 5 1/4 cms. X 4 cms. (2 inches X 1 1/2 inches). Portrait excellent condition. Locket good condition.
