| English School, early 19th Century portrait miniature of a young gentleman, said to be Willliam King, a surgeon. The watercolour on ivory portrait depicts the young man, with powdered natural hair and brown eyes, in 3/4 pose, facing slightly to the right, wearing a dark jacket, with white waistcoat and cravat. Contained within ebonised wooden acorn frame with brass slip. Portrait, oval, 7 cms. diameter (2 3/4 inches). Frame, 16 1/2 cms. X 15 cms. (6 1/2 inches X 5 3/4 inches). Portrait excellent condition.
