| The Artist Buxton, (English), c. 1795. The watercolour portrait depicts a little boy with fair curling hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue suit with large white frilled collars, in his left hand, a top hat, beyond a landscape. Verre eglomise slip within turned and ebonized frame. Signed twice on the frame to the reverse, “Buxton Pinxt.” Oval, 7 cms. X 5 cms. (2 ½ inches X 2 inches). Miniature very good condition.
